Back around 2000-2002, Richard Tyler was breaking into the bridal scene. He had achieved huge recognition and success as a celebrity designer. His dresses were all the rage for award shows and other red carpet events. His wedding gowns started at around $5,000 and went up from there. At that time, only Vera Wang featured gowns at that price point. When we purchased this shoe, it was a one of kind on the market. The big thing at that time was chunky heels and (uhg) square toes. We went out on a limb and bought this $540.00 backless sandal covered in giant crystals. Everything about this styles said Not Gonna' Sell but we wanted some variety so we got it. Once it arrived we were selling out as fast as we could get them in. After only two seasons, the factory would no longer produce the shoe. We got calls for years from brides that had printed the picture of the shoe and saved it until they were getting married. This is one of the few styles that NEVER went on sale. Even the very last pair sold for full price.
